iPod is a cool portable audio device which serves as a music player, video player, memory card for your digital camera or mini computer with a calendar, store data, internet access to download photos or videos of your choice. It comes in a variety of shapes and sizes. When we looking in to buy one we would have the question : What type of iPods are there? What kind of the ipod is right for me? What is the difference between them? The trick is picking the right one. You can get an iPod of $499, or you can get one for $49.

iPod Shuffle: Small clip on. Great for when working out as a fitness-lovers, athletes, commuters. No Screen and small capacity. The Shuffle comes in 1-2gb of space. 1gb size can hold about 240 songs. The battery life is up to 12 hours of audio. Price: $49-$69

iPod Nano: Small also good for exercising, music lovers, commuters and students. It has a small size but also smaller capacity because it uses flash memory. The nano can also play video as well. Nanos are available in 4 and 8gb of space for 1000 to 2000 songs , 3500-7000 photos and 4-8 hours of video. The battery life is up to 24 hours of audio and 5 hours of video. Price:149-$199

iPod Classic: Instead of using flash memory it uses a hard drive, similar to a laptop. The Classic is larger in size, has all the features of the Nano, and has a much higher capacity then the rest of the iPods. The Classic is available in 80gb and 160gb size which contains about 20,000 to 40,000 songs, 25,000 photos and 100-200 hours of video. The battery life is up to 40 hours of audio and 7 hours of video. The Classic isn't as good as the other ipods for exercising since it has moving parts. Price: $249-$349

iPod Touch: The iPod touch uses flash like the Nano and Shuffle so even though it costs more than the Classic it has less capacity. The Touch comes in 8gb, 16gb and 32gb. The 8 GB model holds 1,750 songs; 10,000 photos; or 10 hours of video. The 16 GB model gives you up to 3,500 songs; 20,000 photos; or 20 hours of video. And with the 32 GB model, you can tote as many as 7,000 songs; 25,000 photos; or 40 hours of video along with you. The battery life is up to 22 hours of audio and 5 hours of video. What makes the Touch good is that you can use it as a web browser, you can view and edit your calendars and contacts, and buy music over WIFI. The Touch is similar to the iPhone in many ways. With the Touch you are getting more features and sacrificing capacity. Price:$299-$499
